Immigration Reform Markup
Sen. Arlen Spector (R-PA) chairs a full Judiciary Committee meeting to mark up pending legislation including a draft bill on comprehensive immigration overhaul. Also, the committee will vote on a bill to televise Supreme Court proceedings and judicial nominations to federal courts.

I'll pass on Dobbs .. I don't trust him
I was just on the thread about the Bill that passed out of committee today...
It seems that Frist has gotten himself a fan club!! They are all planning to call his office and congratulate him...
I hate to burst their bubble...

Just might be joining you there ;)
Counter-intuitive, and I don't recall how the possibility of a GOP filibuster came to me. While intramural filibuster is certainly a possibility, it is something to be avoided - because the press and the rest of the DEM party would have a field day at GOP expense.
"I think Frist is grandstanding - flexing his muscles - by not outright making a substitution of the Committee Bill for his, and getting on with the debate. "
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...........
Like so much of what you post this is wrong..Frist will report HIS BILL ..Kick them all out the illegals and the Senators who support them.

I've always admitted that my prediction skills suck. We'll know by the end of the week on this one, whether my prediction was right or wrong.
I'm intrigued by your "Like so much of what you post this is wrong." It intimates that you follow my posts and disagree with some of the analysis and/or conclusions therein. But I don't recall any reasoned exchanges that you and I have had.
LOL .. well you can .. I'll take a pass ;0)
YOU may not like Lou Dobbs, but I happen to think he is one great Patriot and loves this country. I don't always agree with him, but he is spot on with his Broken Border and Red Star Rising reports. Nevermind he has been a life long Republican..

SW, it was not my intention to offend you. I just can't stand the man. If ever there was a more biased, anti-BUSH/Bush Admin(dare I say Bush hater?) I've yet to find one moreso than Lou Dobbs, who you can not convince me in a million years is Republican. My sister, I love her dearly, is about as far left as one can get. Lou Dobbs is her favorite anchor and I can see why. Truth is, I can barely stand to watch him or CNN. I do so only to find out what the opposition is up to when they aren't counting the number of American casualties in Iraq, Bashing the POTUS or VP, and rallying the anti-war crowd. But that's just my opinion. When you first mentioned Lou Dobbs, to be honest with you, I thought you were joking, so I tuned in last night. This whole border issue just may be the ONLY thing he and I agree on! I wanted to ring his neck over just about everything else, including the port controversy.
Good one.
However, what about the multiple
problems rising out of the fact
that many illegals will leave
their wives and kiddoes behind
in care of legal aquaintances,
even organizations such as MALDEF,

of MALDEF, check out this site:

Dam! (a structure to retain water) I attended Fairfax (55-56-57) and went to summer school at LA High in two of those years. And I went to MIT from there, so I guess they did a pretty good job. Fairfax was over 95% Jewish back then, and one of the best academic public schools in the state. How things have changed....
