"Our assumption is that about three-quarters of other-than-legal immigrants pay payroll taxes," said Stephen C. Goss, Social Security's chief actuary, using the agency's term for illegal immigration."
This is complete BS! Goss must think there's only a couple of million illegals, not 11-20 million in the USA.

"...estimated that 3.8 million households headed by illegal immigrants generated $6.4 billion in Social Security taxes in 2002."
And how much tax funded benefits do these 3.8 million households get? I'll guess $76 billion, assuming 4 per household receiving $5,000 each. Plus what about the other 7.2 million illegals, according to government estimates? If you think illegals are paying their fair share for all the benefits they get, you're out of your mind! We pay over $5,000 per year for public school students in Calif. I think it's getting closer to $10,000.

Good morning.
"I look for our esteemed solons to do absolutely... NOTHING."
I look for our legislators to do something that ultimately does little to stop the invasion, but tightens up their control over us.
How many miles of border does this bill close down? From the look of things in SoCal today cars are going to go up in flames before too much longer and I think we are going to see what we are facing soon.

That's pure BS... 80% of illegals don't pay ANY payroll taxes and the bulk of their money gets sent back to where they came from.

Exactly! You got it!

Just think of the huge cottage-industry involved with creating forged documents... the choreographing of accidents for the sole purpose of scamming auto-insurers and winning court settlements.
The detriments of illegals eclipse whatever positives they provide to our society.

You know what I support Jim?
I support the enforcement of existing laws, and not the idea of passing more laws as a substitute for actually doing something.
We don't need more laws, we need more law enforcement.

Support.
But I think we should have a high voltage fence or, build a fence a mile from the border and add a moat on the southern side, complete with gators or crocs. (sarcasm)
I honestly feel that politicians become politicians to make money in the form of perks. They don't care about representing their constituents and, unless we threaten them, they'll never do anything for us.
To: Jim Robinson
I am in full support of this bill. Unqualifed support in fact.
