What I get from this essay above is that there was no plagiarism, but there was a rush to judgment against him. And, though he believes the Wapo believes his explanations above on these matters, it was in fact at the newspape's insistence that his blog there be discontinued. So, in essence, he was fired, because the Wapo would not publicly support him, though he claims they did, privately. Again, that's my take.

And, as the blog he co-founded -- redstate.com -- that will continue, will him on board, as the people there still want him, and they will continue to publicly support him.
