I am concerned here both for his life and the idea he is mentally incompetent. If it is found he is 'insane,' what do they do with him?

Nope. Islamic culture leaves insane people to wander around free. It also encourages charity and sympathy toward the insane. Basically, saying he's crazy makes harming him an offense punishable by stoning.

That is hard to believe...no medical support or assistance for them? Do you have proof of the claim? I am not trying to be a smarty with you, but in all that we know to be islam...the premise is hard to swallow.
