It was certainly worth the sacrifice to replace the Taliban with the good guys. We need to stay the course to create more democratic miracles like this.

No "democratic miracle" happened there or is likely ever to happen there. Afghanistan is a stone-aged society. The best we can hope for is to keep the Taliban and Al Qaeda from running the place again.
