An independent poll last week showed Taylor at 47% and Shuler at 40%, head to head. And 52% said they wanted "somebody new" in Congress. Taylor is steadily dropping. Shuler is steadily rising. That's part of my strategy.
Once the Republicans realize that Taylor's career is over, about the middle of next month, that's my opportunity to tell them their only chance to hold the seat for conservative Republican principles, is with me, not Taylor.

Well, I wish you the best. My daughter worked as a page in Taylor's office last summer here in Asheville. She loves the man. But I do question all the scandals involving his bank. Maybe it is time for some new blood.
