It says such a treaty would enable governments to act more effectively to prevent arms falling into the wrong hands.

IMHO, do away with these rediculous freedom/gun grabs, allow law abiding citizens to defend themselves, and half of these African warlords would not even be an issue.

Of course these third worlders keep defying the U.N. Why wouldn't they? It's like if you tell your three-year-old to stop that and then go back to reading your paper. If you don't get up and whack the child occasionally he will never learn to obey. And he'll never respect you.

The UN is a very expensive, completely irrelevant, thoroughly corrupt waste of the world's -- and especially the United States' -- time.

It needs to go the way of the League of Nations.

I would think you'd need your weapons to keep the UN "Peace Keepers" from raping your wives and daughters.
