Said we weren't doing enough activism wise. You don't belong to our locale and you have nothing to base that statement on.

Cutting and running is not activism. That is retreating. What do you suggest for us to do differently?

When asked to cut spending, they say "OK smart guy, YOU tell us what to cut!"

Bring me the budget and a red pen and I'll do the job in an hour.

If you do that, make sure you tell them you want all of the budget. You'll never get that from them.

I'm with you. Down here in Ocean County, Forrester carried the county comfortably. But there's only so much you can do against the democraps.

So he was involved in enabling all this double pension dipping???

Calpernia I don't know. I'll keep an ear out.

It's worth remembering that Forester worked for Keane. I don't know if he worked for Whitman.

Did he lay the foundation? Maybe, but I think he was gone before the thieves broke in.

I'm not crazy about him but I don't think he's that much of a... well, you know-- democrat.

There is way too much we don't know about when the 'thieves broke in'.

Well, well, well.

Ain't it a shame when they increase your taxes yet those voters blame it on President Bush and us greedy, wealthy Pubs?

taxes don't hut the rich they prevent you from becoming rich.

Stupid regressive tax increases smacking the pockets of those who can least afford it. The 1% increase isn't a big deal, but a 6 or 7% tax on foodstuffs and clothing. A family of four that spends $300 a week on food will end up paying over a thousand dollars a year in taxes. Add a $2000 per year clothing budget and the tax would be another $140.

Stupid liberals. Try cutting the limos; the perks; the hordes of political, patronage appointees. Jerks.

It was only 5 months ago when we heard..."Jon let our family down and he will probably let New Jersey down, too." -- JoAnne Corzine

the current debt problem in the state of NJ is a result of a Pension fund based on the projection that the stock market investments to pay for it, would always be at pre 9/11 ranges. when 9/11 happened and the stock market went south, you had your pension hole develop. we can thank our RINO former governor Whitman for that one. I can't remember when we had a Repub for Governor in NJ. And please, don't tell me Tom Kean was one!

You are correct. New Jersey is full of nitwits. I'm not one of them, but I must suffer with all of the rest. Bob Grant always said New Jersey is proud to vote for corrupt people. It sure seems that way.

While campaigning to get to where he is now, Jon Corzine boldly promised to increase property tax rebate checks for all eligible New Jerseyans... Is the Governor poised to renege on his campaign trail property tax pledge?

You have to read between the lines! He's not reneging on his campaign promise, it's just that, who knew that when all was said and done, nobody would be eligible?

Well, it would be understandable if Corzine won Summit, because he is from there. But even so, I had heard he did not win Summit.

thats why I got out of NJ after retirement---all my kids are still there but have good jobs so can pay the increases---frankly, now that I am in Pa, it is almost as bad (we have better gun laws), since all politicians are born liars and just live(and make promises) to get elected and then spend their time working to get reelected--if I had my way, I would throw them out every term until someone got the message

What do you suggest for us to do differently?

From my observation, New Jersey is hopelessly corrupt. I have spent some time working there in the wireless telecommunications field, so I don't make this observation from afar. The biggest problems I encountered were with the union thugs. I'd have to say the next biggest probem is voter apathy. Find a cure for those two issues and there just might be hope.
