If you haven't seen this woman yet, I strongly suggest you veiw this tape. It is very forceful and convincing.
Bump for later.
I love it! Well, except for the part about being secular. I don't think that particularly made for value added to the rest of the content...
Thanks, Sir. But what's the deal about excerpting NYT? I need to know since I posted it somewhere else...
WOW! What a Slap-Down! ...and right on!

Comment #1 was removed because it contained an article from the New York Times which must be excerpted.
What is your problem with "secular" ? Secular means "without regard to faith beliefs or religion". She made a very powerful statement, in favor of secular government--one not controlled by mullahs or priests or pastors. This is what we have in the USA--a secular government, as provided in the Constitituion (Art. VI and the First Amendment). The business of government is secular--public safety, roads, schools, etc.
She said that she does not believe in the supernatural. Neither do I. Invisible entities like channeled gurus, deities, pixies, faeries, angels, cherubim, ... are of no benefit to government.
I applaud her courage and clear speaking. Wish there were more of her!
I know what secular means. I know it's the way governments should be run.
There was something in the response she got after that which seemed dismissive. Prior to that, the other guy really had nothing he could say. She didn't really need that, anyway. Her words were like little cannons and she was on the mark every time.
