The MSM reports I have been seeing of the Festival of Fire celebrations simply said the *people had been killed*, leaving the impression that they died only by trying to jump over bonfires.

If not for the student's website and the postings of Iran-watchers here on FR, I would have no idea that there is any real dissent inside Iran.

EXACTLY!!! I never watch TV or read the print media (propaganda) so I only know what I learn from those with "boots on the ground" so to speak. That includes Iraq.
