I used to associate Spartan with good things until I learned they were cullatonis. Not real smart warriors, either. Supposedly, the women were hot, though.

The great Spartans were heroes in the past as well specifically in the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC when a group of 300 warriors - the Greek Spartans stopped the Persians in their tracks, saving the western world.

Can't wait for next year - Frank Miller's "300".
