YOUNGSTER'S BLACK-POWER POEM RILES SCHOOL A 7-year-old prodigy unleashed a firestorm when she recited a poem she wrote comparing Christopher Columbus and Charles Darwin to "pirates" and "vampires" who robbed blacks of their identities and human rights.

Whites in the past have justified thier actions of enslaving blacks by saying blacks are prehuman, a step between humans and apes. The same for the indiginous people of Austrialia.

What seven-year-old uses the word paradigm? And the parents can't even spell autumn correctly. Great, just great, now she's been awarded attention for spouting this hateful stuff. Parents should be held responsible for inplanting a huge chip on her shoulder. Sounds like she needs a trip to Africa, maybe Somali or Ghana or somewhere nice like that, to give her some perspective on the United States.

At it's worst, the Natnl. Inquirer was never this bad.
Do you think someone put that seven-year old up to saying something so precocious?

The question was not about blacks being part of the original problem, just how Darwin was brought into this. Blacks were historically considered subhuman by whites.

Primitive people or those stuck in, say, the 7th century, live by myths instead of facts and any truth that interferes with those myths is disregarded. This is what this little girl and her parents- and a great many others- are choosing to be.
