Jimmy Carter out of the anti-Zionist closet

Jimmy Carter is out of the anti-Zionist closet. In a column in the Pakistan Daily Times entitled “Colonisation of Palestine precludes peace” Carter writes

“The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel’s colonisation of Palestine…”

To be sure, he ends his column by calling for recognition for Israel by the Palestinians, but Carter cannot possibly misunderstand what “colonization of Palestine” means to Hamas, Iran, and Bin Laden. It means the existence of Israel anywhere in what was once called Palestine. That is a deliberate ambiguity, as Carter knows perfectly well. It plays to the most extreme factions, while allowing sly Ole Jimmy to deny that he is calling for ethnic cleansing of Tel Aviv.

It’s always nice to know where Democrats stand, after all these years.

Carter's goal is to make Clinton the second-to-worst President ever.

He was worse than incompetent. He worked actively against American interests. Pro communist, pro socialist, pro islamist, sheesh what do they mean coming out of the closet?

President malaise- actually it was HARDBALL'S chris mathews that wrote the speech.

I had forgotten that tidbit- I remember Cubans in Angola & Yemen & elsewhere, 23% interest rates, gas lines, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Panama Canal giveaway, the foolish outlawing of recycling nuclear fuel... I could go on, but you get the idea.

He was a small, mean little man raised far above where he should have been. His "reforms" of Georgia, which were a big part of his pitch for higher office, are still yielding unexpected and bitter fruits today. Much as his larger "legacy" for America will in the decades to come.

A friend said to me recently that all of our problems stem from Carter.
If he had been stronger the Soviets would not have invaded Afganistan- and the US would not have created the Islamofascists that fought them.
If he had not been so wishy-washy he would have backed the Shah and no Khomeini
If no Khomeini he would not have started Saddams build up to fight the Iranians.
If he had not been such a putz and gave the military a green light to free the hostages in a winnable way(without the constraints that made failure a fait accompli) the Islamofascists might have fallen

GAG! Jimmuh! Neck and neck with Willie for the biggest disgrace to the South in decades. The man is totally anti-USA, anti-Israel, pro-terrorist, etc. What really gripes me is that a nuclear sub is named for him!
