It takes no gonads to place troops at points of entry. Her state of emergency is and has always been a farce. Your latter point is well taken, and I would hope that the legislature would withdraw funding then.

IMHO, it doesn't take any gonads to place the Guard anywhere on the boarder. But if it is to be a face-off between the legislature and the governor, I know who will win. The same person who has won all the other face offs. ;)

The bottom line of it all is this: Napolitano is suggesting to provide funding to put 100 additional National Guardmen on the Border. That number is NEVER discussed, just 'I'm putting the National Guard on the Border'. 100 additional Guardsmen is NOTHING. It's a joke, it's just politics. The Pubbies responded by putting an amendment that would essentially make it a Constitutional battle, that the Governor would not sign. Essentially, they're both playing politics, and they should all be castigated. It's just another example of lack of leadership from our elected representatives. Pathetic.
