A Spring Lake Park High School teacher has been put on paid leave amid allegations involving soliciting sexual activity on the Internet.
The allegations, detailed in a search warrant affidavit, involve the teacher's claim that he had sex with a 16-year-old girl who was a former high school student, now an adult. No charges have been filed.

The case came to light when a man in the Cayman Islands posed as a 13-year-old Tennessee girl online and chatted with the teacher, who turned the conversation to graphic sex. The man contacted police, who searched the teacher's school computer.
Ok, now why is a a man in the Cayman Islands of all places, posing as a 13 year old girl from Tennessee? Was it a sting operation?
I saw a funny website once, can't remember the name of it. There are pranksters who lure pervs into chat sessions posing as young girls, but not to turn them in to the police. They do it just to goof on them, make fools of them, and then they post the chat transcripts online. It's a depraved form of entertainment.

The school should fire him for showing sexual interest in children as he is a teacher - he has authority over other people's children.
