Clinton cover-ups
The Washington Times ^ | March 7, 2006 | Mark Goodman

Lost in the tumult over Islamic port deals and Katrina video capers is the recently released -- and willfully ignored -- Barrett Report. David Barrett, you'll recall, is the independent counsel appointed in 1995 to investigate allegations of impropriety against President Clinton's Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros. Mr. Barrett found his path mined by the Justice Department, the Internal Revenue Service and President Clinton's attorneys, even after Mr. Clinton departed the White House. He prepared 18 felony indictments against Mr. Cisneros but had to settle for a guilty plea on a misdemeanor charge (lying to the FBI about his mistress, a poor choice for a tax write-off). He sought to prosecute Mr. Cisneros for tax fraud over a period of years but was thwarted by Attorney General Janet Reno. Ultimately Mr. Cisneros resigned his post, whereupon President Clinton, constitutionally bound to men who lie about their mistresses, pardoned him.

Bill and Hilary were criminals and thugs, before, during and after the White House. They stole, lied, cheated, harrassed and sold the country's interests down the river. Pure and simple.

What ticks me is that Congressmen and Senators can read the unredacted report. If the Pubbies have any stones they should merely copy it and release it to the Washington Times with attribution by anonymous. The Times should publish it and make the entire text available online. Let the people determine if there is a story here. I doubt seriously that the Bush Attorney General will seek to press charges. What would the charge be - telling the truth? Lets play some hardball. Lets see what other unknown dirt the Clintoons are up to.

I have been disappointed by the failure of the Bush administration to go after these people. I know it was part of his strategy to let by-gones be by-gones and hopefully gain the cooperation of the Dems. But he didn't get their cooperation; they merely saw his acquiesence as weakness. And it simply set the stage for more corruption.

To my knowledge, no Clinton figure has ever gotten what he/she had coming. Seeing Sandy Berger waltz out with a wrist-slap after being caught red-handed has completely undermined my faith in the government's ability or will to do anything about it.

The liberals leak all kinds of crap all the time. Why can't this info be leaked?
If allegations of misdeeds are true the leaker should be hailed a hero.
If as often reported that Mrs. Clinton is dirty up to her ears, do we really care to have her running for and maybe becomming the next president?
For steeling the White House furnishings and silverware alone she should be in jail.

So why does George H. W. Bush and President Bush treat Bill Clinton like he's a decent human being?

The same with John Huang, the Chinese connection that filtered Red China money into the Clintoon Spitoon.

But I believe that the RNC has a silver bullet for Vampire Hillary's 2008 campaign, BUT will they use it?

Clinton Cover-ups

Unfortunately, the title made me visualize Hillary in a bathing suit; thinking of "Cover-up" as a clothing article. I couldn't read any further.

That leak just might hit the fan about August 2008......

Strategery, and all that.

One more reason to go for a COnservative candidate instead of some MSM supported "electable" RINO.

What really galls me is that the Bush administration seems to have taken the same attitude toward the war in Iraq. Right now they're sitting on millions of pages of documents that would almost assuredly prove that Saddam and Al Quaeda had a compellingly close relationship before the liberation. Indeed, those same documents and tapes of Saddam's private conversations could well prove that he was up to his eyeballs in the planning and execution of 9/11. If that material was released, it would devastate the DemonRat party for the next generation. Nevertheless, and inexplicably, it hasn't been released and Bush has been left to defend against baseless charges that he lied us into the war and every other conceivable slander and libel.

I could understand the "new tone" as an initial olive branch to the other side, offered in the hope that they would similarly reciprocate. Instead, they reciprocated by shoving a dung pie into Bush's face. After that he should have gone for the DemonRats' collective jugulars. He didn't and that's why he's in the present mess. The whole thing's disgusting and incomprehensible.

A leopard can't change its spots.

The Clintons are everything you said they are and possibly worse.

Bill is a traitor and a liar. He's very probably a rapist and thief and both of them may be tied to murders in Arkansas.

But that all explains why he is the poster boy for the liberal left and why the liberal left and mainstream media want Hitlery in the White House.

I agree. In the short run, going after them probably would have been messy, but it sure would have saved him (and us) a lot of grief further on.

There's a possibility that it all goes back to the operations of the CIA out of the Mena, Ark. airport during the term of Bush I when the CIA was apparently smuggling arms to various freedom fighters in Central America and cocaine was possibly coming back on the return flights. The Wall Street Journal ran a few editorials about this during the Clinton years. It's at least possible that the Bushes knew about the cocaine shipments and did nothing about them because it was necessary to maintain cover for the CIA operations. That's what was implied in some of those WSJ editorials. If so, the Clintons have a good way to blackmail the Bushes.

"tapes of Saddam's private conversations could well prove. . . "

I can't understand that either except, maybe the fox is much smarter than we give him credit for. I remember the 04 elections and everybody was so sure Bush blew it and even the first reports from the news had Skerry winning. Remember?

Once they are released in two weeks they will be forgoten.

Maybe, Just maybe the old fox is holding them, for the exact perfect time. He sure played Skerry perfectly.
