You've got a few too many "yous" in there for my rhetorical comfort! I'm not from Louisiana, but from one of the states that subsidizes the federal government with its income taxes.

Currently, Blanco is promoting a raise in teachers' salaries :)
Except in the metro areas of NOLA, Shreveport and Baton Rouge the state is pretty conservative. In fact my corner of the state got hit by Hurricane Rita and the local leadership has done a phenomenal job. Since they have been competent no one in the media cares to report on the good things that are happening. Don't believe everything you hear or read in the MSM.
Upstate Louisiana is the reason Blanko is the governor not Jindal. The rednecks, quite a few registered republicans, could not bring themselves to vote for someone of East Indian heritage.
Sorry, I took from your post that you were from Louisianna. I would not want anyone to mistake me from being from there either.:)
