I'm afraid there would be a dead rat man actor if they pulled this on my teenage son. His reaction of fear would smush him like a bug and ask questions later. The pranksters are lucky no one got seriously injured or killed.

Scare tactics was one of the funniest shows on television. SciFi has stopped playing them but I would watch them religiously.
They arent very politically correct and they have had two conservatives host it, Shannon Doherty and Stephen Baldwin.
Its a shame too.

I was finally able to watch this video. I used to be too embarrased for the poor jerk who was taking this seriously.
I really feel sorry for this guy. "Do you need help, little man?" Yeesh. What a sugar britches INDEED! (Of course, to be honest, I don't know how I'd deal with a prank like that!)

Funny.
I've always wondered about Scare Tactics. (A) It often looks staged. (B) If it is real, someones going to pull out a .45 and blow away one of their actors.

One of my co-workers showed me this the other day.
We laughed so hard we had tears running down our cheeks.

i think about 90% of the "reality" shows on TV today are totally staged/scripted...
the sheeple will believe anything on TV...
To: Uncledave
I like the "deer-prank". I think it's from "The Man Show" or somesuch.
These two guys posed as hunters and had a deer tied to the hood of their car... a deer with remote control that could move it's head and lips and scream at people walking by into the truckstop...

I've always wondered about Scare Tactics. (A) It often looks staged. With all the different camera angles, the guy supposedly pranked would have to be a complete idiot to not know this was staged. What are there? Three different cameramen running around and you (the guy being pranked, not you) don't have a clue?
It wasn't even funny, it was stupid.

I was finally able to watch this video. I used to be too embarrased for the poor jerk who was taking this seriously. Oh sure, I laughed...but then stopped to think about it.
Here's this harmless, well-meaning young fellow who obviously doesn't have a whole lot happening upstairs. So this gag was just a mean-spirited public humiliation of one of Nature's unfortunates.
They might as well offer a balsa wheelchair to a cripple, then broadcast the result and gloat over it.
Uh-ohh, I shouldn't have given them the idea.

It would be funnier if it wasn't so obviously staged.

And another funny moment!
We have a few "Man Show" devotees here - what a riot!
I miss seeing the Man Show Boy wearing a Cub Scout uniform, trying to get people to buy him beer.
