My wife got a soliciting call tonight from the Sierra Club and she let the caller have it with both barrels.
You really are clueless.
I worked for his father's campaign in 1992.
I voted for Dubya twice.
But he signed the campaign finance reform bill into law, claiming he thought it would be overturned.
Kook?
Oh, great argument you've got there.
I don't know if you worked for Bush 41 or voted for Dubya, but I doubt it. I do know you think it is possible Levin and Lieberman could muscle their amendment through the GOP Senate and House and that Dubya might sign it. That makes you a kook.
Doubt all you want.
I can agree with Dubya/Jorge on many issues, but he's dropped the ball on several key ones;
1. CFR: Huge mistake. If you fail to see this, you aren't paying attention.
2. Our borders: He's doing worse than nothing, he's enabling this invasion.
That you think I'm a "kook" matters none.
Unlike you, I've applied critical thinking to the issues.
Try it some time.
HUGE mistake? Do you know you are one of 200 people who would list CFR as an important issue. The Republican controlled Congress passed it. It is no more repugnant than the donation limitations that were in place prior to CFR. You didn't have a right to donate too much money to candidates(free speech) before CFR and you still don't. Weighed against a proactive foriegn policy, conservative judges, and taxcuts CFR is a booger to me.
2. Our borders: He's doing worse than nothing, he's enabling this invasion.
He's doing exactly what previous modern Presidents have done. The immigration system is broken. We have made it incredibly hard to enter this country legally and incredibly easy to enter illegally. The solution needs to address both problems. Not just strengthening the border and expelling those here illegally, but also filling the job vacuum with legal immigrants.
This is too much for Dubya to wave his magic wand and produce. Congress will have to pass legislation to fix the problem before Dubya can sign it. I feel confident that legislation will come out of Congress before the elections.
I wonder how you could vote for Dubya if immigration is your big complaint against him. He has made his views on trade and labor clear before the 2000 elections and crystal clear before the 04 elections.
Unlike you, I've applied critical thinking to the issues. Try it some time.
OK...nope I'm stuck. You obviously think you're brilliant and I'm dense. Help me out...Why do you suppose neither the rats or Republicans have a national figure who has jumped on this important issue? One which I'm told could swing popular support and assure a landslide victory for the party that leads on isolation.
I await your intense critical insight.
Ever single one gets about 500-1000 per day I'd estimate.
