Better not let the GEICO Cavemen hear you...........

I love the GEICO Cavemen. The glaring Caveman of the "We didn't know you guys were still around..." ad reminded me of every "offended" minority and/or race hustler I've ever seen.

Many people may think of that as just another cheesey commercial, but the actor who plays the caveman with the menu is really good. The glaring eyes full of anger are just stunning. Take note next time you see it. His mannerisms and demeanor are outstanding............

Out of curiousity, I went to BuyBlue.Org to see Geico's political contributions. Warren Buffet is listed within the company bio but 94% of the contributions listed go to Republicans:

GEICO has found that driving down costs brings drivers by the droves into its fold. A wholly owned subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO has traditionally provided auto and other insurance to preferred low-risk demographic groups (such as government and military employees) but has also begun to sell to nonstandard (high-risk) drivers. In addition to auto coverage, the company's offerings include motorcycle insurance and emergency road service. GEICO eschews agents in favor of direct marketing through such vehicles as direct mail, TV, radio, and the Internet.

You really get the feeling the actor has been around such people before ~ he does the "offended" part perfectly.

Then there's the other guy who just ignores it all ~ time to eat!

Geico has the best ad writers in the business. The soap opera ad is a classic and it works wonderfully well on radio where I heard it first long before I saw it on the shop TV.
