even after "Weighting" the respondants, there is still a 2 to 1 built-in bias in this "Poll"..

If you only ask the opinion of the enemy, you will only get the enemies point of view.

Thanks for posting.

Disgusting, but not surprising.

Yeah, but the two to one bias is not reported in MSM. What these polls need to do is use the same sampling as percentages in last Presidential election. And then only with "likely" voters. Cause they are the ones who vote not just tell you how they feel.

Rush is right!

These fools will run around quoting their own BS polls, celebrating the numbers then claim foul when the actual election results don't reflect their expectations. Let them continue being deluded.

CBS is even 10% lower than most other MSM skewed polls. I think this has to do with Bush basically referring to the MSM as irrelevant.

Can someone explain the purpose of "weighting" in the first place? Can't one simply take a poll and give the actual results with the sample characteristics in some sort of fine print at the bottom? Why the extra step?

Gee..............what a surprise.

But I'll tell you what bugs me. Carl Cameron and the Fox guys will talk about the 'polls' without the caveat that they were weighted.

All it takes for the media to use a poll in a report is to take the poll. It's accuracy is irrelevant.

Even if they weighted it better, Bush would still be under 40%.

Polls are custom manufactured news. CBS is expert on making up news as we all know.

To: Thanatos; All

but nobody reveals this.

Why is this data not front and center on FNC?

CBS must be using census data from 100 years ago. Are there not more registered republicans than demcorats?

I wonder what the same poll would reveal if you did a conservative/liberal/neuter breakdown. (moderate means nothing)

Were the first results of the poll faxed to CBS from a Kinko's in Texas?
