"Wear Red" Friday

You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

When To Judge

Read:
Matthew 7:1-12

God will bring every work into judgment . . . whether good or evil. —Ecclesiastes 12:14

Bible In One Year: Numbers 9-11; Mark 5:1-20

Many people believe that Christians are told never to judge others. As "proof," they quote Jesus' words in Matthew 7: "Judge not, that you be not judged" (v.1). But a closer look at what Jesus said shows that there are times when we must make judgments.

In verses 1 to 5, Jesus warned us how easy it is to be blind to our own faults while we pick at the faults of others. In verse 6, however, He showed us the necessity of judging. He told us, "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."

To follow Jesus' teaching, we must learn the difference between judging people and evaluating situations. But who among us is wise enough to consider any situation without condemning or judging the persons involved? That is why, in verses 7 to 11, we are told to earnestly ask, seek, and implore help from our heavenly Father. "Your Father who is in heaven [will] give good things to those who ask Him" (v.11).

Whenever we must make judgments, we must prayerfully bear in mind that our God is the one who "will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil" (Ecclesiastes 12:14). —Albert Lee

The righteous Judge gives discernment to those who ask Him.

It is a beautiful, sunny California day.

It certainly is! I heard it is going up to about 72 today. A perfect day to get some gardening done. I noticed my Hyacinth are blooming. The Irises are coming along well and my Roses are sprouting - so are the weeds, faster than I can keep up with them. Some things never change, and that is a good thing, I guess. I love springtime!

The weeds were taking over so fast that I paid our gardener (lawn mower guy) to pull some of them. He came when we were not home and chopped down most of my ranunculas. A couple had large buds on them. GRrrrrr. You can imagine how upset I was.

Thank You! I managed to pick a rose or two this week..and the fruitless plum is blooming.Some of the jasmine is blooming,too..I have sunflowers..LOL The snowbells are sweet,too. The freeze we had weekend before last did leave it's mark.
