Excellent Christian artist dies while playing "We Shall Behold Him".
music ping....although a sad one (only 44?)
I'm so sorry. He was a great pianist and entertainer.
If it was his time to go, he left suddenly while playing the most beautiful music. RIP, and if it had to be, that was a death to be envied.
Well, at least he passed while doing the Lord's work. He is probably playing piano up in Heaven right now.
He was one great piano player. Kind of a rewarding way to go.
Words and Music: Dottie Rambo
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
The sky shall unfold, preparing His entrance;
The stars shall applaud Him with thunders of praise.
The sweet light in His eyes shall enhance those a waiting,
And we shall behold Him then face to face.
And we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory;
And we shall behold Him, Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Savior and Lord.
The angels shall sound the shout of His coming,
The sleeping shall rise from their slumbering place.
And those who remain shall be changed in a moment,
And we shall behold Him then face to face.
And we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory;
And we shall behold Him, Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Savior and Lord.
We shall behold Him, our Savior and Lord.
Awesome piano player. A very sweet man as well. We'll miss you Anthony.
Oh, man. He played at our church a couple of years ago. He'll be missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
The best of the best. He won the best pianist award so much that they removed him from contention and named the award after him.
Pianist Anthony Burger of Cleveland died Wednesday night after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was 44. Anthony was in the Caribbean aboard a Bill Gaither Homecoming cruise this week and it was during one of Wednesday's performances when he suffered the heart attack. A family spokesman said Burger was doing what he loved best, playing the piano, just before collapsing.
He said there was no hint that he had any health problem, though he had said he was not feeling well and he had chest pains. He said he was on stage playing when he winked at his wife, Luanne, then fell backwards dead.
