A POSSIBLE connection 7 years ago? That's no reason to break a contract with an ally.

Again, this whole outcry is being stoked by the liberal media who are reacting out of xenophobia.

This is a great political and business decision and one we should all support!

I once shook Bill Clinton's hand. I guess that ties me in to his rape of Juanita Broaderick

No, but it put you at grave risk for all sorts of STDs! I hope you soaked your and in bleach afterward.

let a UAE-operated company take over operations at six American ports,

The media is creeping closer to stating the issue correctly. "Take over operations at" is more correct than "take over operations of". The most correct would be "take over operations of some terminals at".

Listening to the stupid statements of C-SPAN listeners I got the opinion that they believe that;

- We are selling complete ports.
- We will pay the A-RABS to run the ports.
- The sale should be subject to the lowest bidder.
- That KBR and Haliburton could be paid to operate the terminals
- Bush should be impeached
- The Bush family profits financially from the deal.

And this was from Pubbies, Independants and RATS.

I agree. Just over two hundred years ago, the British were our enemy and the French were our friends -- imagine what kind of shape we would be in if we had allowed that to remain the status quo (though of course the left would have preferred it).

I'm still waiting to hear the facts that make this such a good political and business decision.I haven't heard much of anything of any substance from either side.

Well, now. I guess that tells us everything we need to know.
If the 9-11 Commission said it, it must be true.

On a thread about "moderate" islam you wrote the following:

To: Diana in Wisconsin
"But the Muslims already knew that. The message is meant for the rest of us who are all too willing to think the worst of people we don't understand"

You mean like people who cut air line stewardess throats with box cutters and fly planes into building full of unarmed, defenseless civilians?

People who rape, torture and murder civilian captives in a school in Besland?

The people who target civilians for murder in Madrid, Egypt, London and Israel.

No, we understand them far too well. It is a pity that these spokespeople for the Hysteric Left don't understand them at all.

So what gives? Care to explain why you want "moderate" muslims running our ports?

Strange, the US welcomed with open arms the 9-11 hijackers into the country, the terr perps took pilot training at American facilities for carrying out their operation in the US.

Does the US support terrorism and have ties to terrorist countries? (aside from the democRATs)

Also, the UAE controls most of the oil we get - the Dem's are preventing us from opening up ANWAR which has proven oil more than the Saudi's ... what's to prevent them (UAE) from just closing the tap??

Except Hillary already is beginning to backtrack on this....

What choice does she have? Her hubby and Gore are running around the middle east telling every muslim leader they can find what great fellows they are. Oh, and lets not forget that Clinton approved the sale of advanced model F-15's to the UAE before 9/11.

As much as I detest a muslim company owning anything in America, it does appear, on closer investigation, that nothing will change at these ports other than the corporate logo.

If Americans are so concerned about all this, they should stop and assk themselves why there are no American shipping companies that can do this.

Answer: Unions and their democrat lacky's drove them out of business.

Perhaps hillary has a grand plan to revitalise American shipping interests she is not going to tell us about until she becomes president.

Interesting.
