"Tatler or the Onion?"Actually i read it here at FR.Don't recall the writer or what publication,but it was a lengthy article(of several articles i've read)discussing Charles and his islamist tendencies.Seems he has a real "soft spot"for muslims and islam in particular.Do you think he's fit to be the next monarch of GB?
This would include Catholics Jews Muslims as well as Protestants.
To tell the truth I am not that excited as a Catholic, I don't really care if he stays as head of the Church of England or represents all faiths.
After all it all started with Henry the Eighth in changing the Church in England for reasons of his own.
So if Prince Charles does there is a precedent.
As for Prince Charles becoming Monarch when the Queen Dies. Well we have a long line of Monarchs some good some bad some downright looney and Britain as survived them all.
The Monarchy is an institution not a individual.
As for the Arab connection. Prince Charles has many friends amongst Arab royalty, as does the Queen, many through his love of polo, racing and other sporting connections.
In the end he will be just a constitutional figurehead.
