That is what is in our blood. Look but do not touch without permission.Exactly.
Wasn't there a popular song years ago which began...
Beautiful girls
Walk a little slower
When you walk by me... ?
I don't recall a societal hissy fit over it.

Schaefer is the man. I grew up in MD and he is a vanishing breed. The Republican Governor Ehrlich doesn't have anything on Schaefer
"Odd remarks and antics by Schaefer at meetings of the Board of Public Works are commonplace. He once complained about a Spanish-speaking fast-food worker and suggested creating a public registry of people with AIDS."
LOL

Here he is asking her to walk away again:

lol I like this guy. Can we make him President? OK, if you want a senile older version of Bill Clinton. However, you should know that he is a pure tax-and-spend liberal who is a product of the same Baltimore City Democrat machine that produced Nancy Pelosi.

Its not hooters for God sake. They don't do catwalk requests at any Hooters I've ever ben too but you can look a bit.
Most men don't oogle too much,(or at least we sure try not to) it shows too much "need". Women prefer to be ignored(excepts wives..lol) if one is truly serious. Act like you're too interested and they think you're desperate or pathetic. Sorta like the way younger girls like guys who are bad boys and aloof.
This fellow's age has gotten to him a bit...the candor and all....a bit more discretion was called for. I do agree though that admiring fine looking women is one of the best things in life for a man.....of any age.

Schaefer is the man. I went to college in Annapolis, and I can say girl-ogling was the best summer sport around.

Can't say I blame him for looking...

If you live in the South and you're 84 you can do as you damn well please. As a Yankee I hesitate to comment on what a Southern man can or cannot do, but I find it very hard to believe that it is OK to embarrass any woman publicly. This guy appears to have all of his marbles and didn't have to make it publicly clear (to paraphrase Tricky Dick) that he was using this woman to improve the sturdiness of his 84 Lumber.

Can't say I blame him for looking... The dame on the far left doesn't look bad, either!

Disgusting behavior. Requesting (Demanding?) a sexual favor (mild though it was) from a young professional woman in a room full of people while seated beside the Governor.
Schaeffer needs to go.
And all those people yukking it up in the room...need to rethink their attitudes. Time for Ehrlich to show some cajones.

OK you're right, let me restate. If you live in the South and you're 84 you can do as you damn well please. Down here we understand old people get eccentric and we try to overlook it as much as possible. If you are a yankee, all bets are off.
You've identified the problem: here in Maryland, we don't know if we're in the South or not! Virginia (3 miles from my home) is definitely in the South. Pennsylvania (20 miles) is Yankee Territory.
We're south of the Mason-Dixon line, yet are swamped by liberals who control our every move. We fought for the Union during the War of Northern Agression, yet did so because we were occupied by Yankee troops.
All our old Democrats, like Schafer, are in the dixie-crat mold, but then again look at Barbara Mikulski (cornea replacements are now possible).

I agree 100%. It beats sailing very easily.

I just watched the video .....after the first acknowledgment that the staffer was a hottie, he wandered off the reservation and continued to do so.
Sad..good thing to remain virile as an old dude I reckon but a sense or propriety was in order after the first harmless nod to feminine allure and beauty which seemed reasonable and good natured enough

It is not OK to embarrass the young lady, it's just that we understand it when you get that age. Someone will speak to him about it, it's just not a Federal Case. Try walking pas a construction site in NYC with an attractive female and tell me which is worse.

Absolutely. It's the reason for the lack of outrage in the press.
