Democratic consultant Roger Salazar said he was "not surprised" the CRA and the Republicans reached an accommodation because they both need Schwarzenegger to hold the Governor's Office, and that without him "they become irrelevant."

The fight for relevancy from the liberal perspective.

For those from Rio Linda or the CRP, Salazar means that the CRP is revelant as long as they front a liberal. If the CRP should support a conservative, the CRP would no longer be relevant. Love that liberal thinking.

If Arnold loses the endorsement then they can't funnel money through the CRP. That is what the fight is about. The California Republican party is just a money laundering conduit for the weathly doners who dont have to worry about getting found out until after the election.

The new CRP motto "Just shut up and vote"
