I agree that the American education system has moved outside the bounds of it's purpose but, absolving people of their stupidity or mistakes because of their "environment" is too leftist a concept for me to stomach.
If she wants to stand as a leader of people, then it's her responsibility to educate herself on the issues she's going to support or oppose. A failure to do so doesn't excuse her beliefs but compounds her fallacy of thought.
And there's no better place to learn that she's completely ignorant than in college: she needs to take her intellectual thumps now, before she gets out in the real world thinking she's competent to lead in business or in politics the way she "led" in the Student Senate at UW.
I mean, if this twit were to graduate tomorrow, would you want to work for her? Would you want her in your State Senate?
OH! CRAP! I left out racist! Sorry....thanks man.
"Show me a hero and I'll show you a bum."
Sent an e-mail saying, "You are not worthy to shine the boots of Pappy Boyington...."
How ironic...

MOSCOW (ID) -- Ms. Jill Edwards, Moscow
She'll need a lifetime of deprogramming to move beyond the Hate America First indoctrination she's been fed.
Just in case you missed that part folks.
As far as the other tart is concerned, she needs to be reminded that it was the hard work and generosity of rich, white men that built that school she's sitting in, allowing her the opportunity to move beyond working at McDonalds flipping burgers. And judging by her name, its because of the hard work and generosity of another rich, white man that allows her that same opportunity to sit in those classrooms, her Father
Pap' was like that. He loved to connect with people. He warned most everyone he met that Alcoholism is the bane of our society and if it weren't for Aviation, he never would have survived as long as he did.
He did not have a fixation with being rich or famous, he simply carried his message about living life sober and helping out your fellow man without expecting self-serving acclaim.
To be sure, Pappy would have been honored to have a remembrancer placed at the school, honoring him, from which he was first introduced to Aviation. He would have had only one requirement in doing so; He would have required that on the epitaph, there would be a simple bit of advice, that we live our lives clean & sober, one day at a time. Most of all, that we would savor each moment of the time God has given us in a strong measure of grace and humility.
Sorry but you are wrong here. A gift is something that is given to you that you have not earned. People like this feel that they deserve and are owed all the blessings of this country. They dishonor all the men and women who made all these very blessings possible.
Jill-o is just a little nobody trying to be important by being so very ,very childish. Like a dumb sheep of the left she see's nothing but evil in those who did, and are, trying to save her sorry butt.
The irony is, they refuse to honor a man like Boyington because he faught and killed people. Boyington faught in response to aggression, Lenin and Stalin both started aggressions. Boyington and his men killed dozens maybe even a hundred, once again in response to aggression. How many millions died because of the war that Lenin led? How many people starved to death. How many millions of his own people did Stalin hunt down and murder. It was more than was killed in all WWII including Hitlers final solution.
L'CHAIM....
Bump.
Why do we let the 10 percent of the population who are leftists run our public universities? The university represents the entire State, and the population of that State which pays for the university. If the leftists are upset about the statue, they can erect a little statue of Che Guevara.
