If the Administration would get that border fence finished, many illegal aliens - and criminals would be kept out. Its time we stopped being worried about what Mexico thinks. And fire Julie Myers and bring in someone competent who gives a damn.

ICE frequently deports them, with little regard for whatever criminal charges they face here,...

Probably just part of the Bush administration's immigration policy. We wouldn't want any statistics that reflected badly on criminal activities of these "immigrants."

Life has costs, accidents happen, people get killed. Trying to tie all the misery in the world to ILLEGAL Immigrants is silly but whip yourself up with such silliness if you like. Even with all the problems caused by ILLEGAL Immigrants the costs as a whole are still quite low according the studies by even those most opposed to it. This can be handled without panic or hysteria.

Deported Criminals Sometimes Return?

Really???

Shocking, given that the POTUS refuses to allow the border patrol to do it's job and eschews the efforts of civilians to do that job as "vigiliantism".

All the more reason to seal the border between POEs. How on earth can anyone reasonably argue against that?

"Lopez-Gamez’s drug case was dismissed by Judge Gilbert Martinez. Kirkman said prosecutors didn’t know Lopez-Gamez was back in the country and, though they asked for a warrant for his arrest, the judge dropped the case."

This Judge Gilbert Martinez?

Honorable Gilbert Anthony Martinez

Judge Martinez is a native of Colorado, having been born in Trinidad and raised in the Denver area. A graduate of the University of Colorado, he served as a Public Defender from 1978 to 1989, directing the Colorado Springs Public Defender's Office for four of those years. He is married and has two children.

In 1989, Judge Martinez was appointed District Court Judge of the Fourth Judicial District. In 1994, he was elevated to the position of Chief Presiding Judge, also in the Fourth Judicial District, a position he currently holds.

Judge Victoria Rossetti has agreed to a plea bargain with Mateo Briseno, 43, that will allow him to plead guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. The offense involves the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.

The plea bargain provides for the criminal offender to be deported to Mexico instead of serving an eight-year prison sentence for the crime. Briseno is an illegal alien from Mexico. Contact the judge and prosecutor responsible for this plea-bargain:

>>But, she said, in the past 15 years, it has become clear that doesn’t work, since so many return.<<

15 years and they have just determined that it doesn’t work!

If the word Sometimes in the title was changed to USUALLY the title would more closly match the truth.
