Strange... this was from last year.

A leading Canadian authority on polar bears, Mitch Taylor, said: "We’re seeing an increase in bears that’s really unprecedented, and in places where we’re seeing a decrease in the population it’s from hunting, not from climate change."

So on one hand, there is an unprecedented increase in the population of these bears, and on the other hand, they are starving and in need of being put on the Endangered Species list.

Sounds like bipolar bears to me.
