"I can't say that it would bother me if this lead to banning RU-486."

Sorry, I must disagree with you. This little pill was given
to me by my own physician at a time in my life when I was very young (too young to support a child) or even be married (but was) and had been abandoned by parents and new husband. It was God sent. I am happy and healthy as are probably many others who were fortunate enough to have a physician who understood the situation (and of course, broke the law). It was easier, healthier, safer than the alternative methods of the time (1953). To be married to an irresponsible male is just as bad as being raped in my opinion. Do feel this pill is safer than physical abortion. Disapprove of "filthy" conditions at abortion clinics.
This RU 486 pill was my 2nd abortion. First one was
by doctor in "filthy" office. I almost bled to death. Still have scars from tear.
Young inexperienced women will always try to do something to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Why should they be forced to lose their lives?? The rich have always had a choice.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Just curious....did you go on to have children at a later date?

Why was abortion not an option in either case?

I thought RU 486 was invented in the 80's in Europe?

I didn't think the drug was developed until the late 80's. Are you saying you took it in 1953?

No offense, but your entire post was about me, me, me. You totally forgot to mention the tiny life that you snuffed out with the little "God-sent" pill. And the other tiny life taken in a filthy doctor's office. You were too young and no one told you about adoption? Your mistakes cost 2 children their lives.

You said young women will always try to do something to prevent unwanted pregnancy. When RU486 is taken you are either already pregnant or not pregnant. If you are not pregnant, you are only hurting yourself. If you are pregnant when you take the pill, the only thing you are preventing at that point is the continuation of life.

Equating rape with being married to an irresponsible male? What?? You voluntarily married him, rape is not voluntary.

No offense, again, but you seem like a troll. Using class warfare ("the rich have always had a choice") to justify killing two children is sooo DUish.

I find very little that rings true in anything you've written on this thread, twilde. You claim to have had a 2nd abortion, somewhere around 1953, using the abortion pill which was given to you by a doctor. Considering that the abortion pill has been in development for only 20-25 years,, and the first successful human testing occurred in 1982, that's an amazing feat.

The rest of what you wrote is irrelevant. I concur with the other posters here... troll. Though leaving out the whole "i had an ru 486 abortion in the 1950s!" lie, it would've been obvious. Noone hates men as much as your side, or compares being married to someone "irresponsible" as rape.
