WASHINGTON: With the IRAN nuclear imbroglio showing no sign of an early resolution, Israeli defence experts have claimed that their air force has the ability "to cripple" Tehran's nuclear programme by striking at the "weak" spots. Hitting and destroyong two or three key facilities would probably be sufficient, Shlomo Brom, a former Israeli armed forces chief of strategic planning was quoted as saying to Newsweek. He identified the Natanz uranium enrichment complex and the conversion plant at Esfahan as critical targets.

Well just be sure to also take out their airforce and Navy on the way home....
How about a high altitude air burst nuke, knocking out their entire electrical grid, just to show them what they're developing.
"How about a high altitude air burst nuke, knocking out their entire electrical grid, just to show them what they're developing."
would that knock out the power in bunkers 60 ft deep with 6ft concrete ceiling?
I really don't know so I am asking
I don't think anyone knows but, it's worth a try. It really depends on whether they have off-grid underground systems. Regardless, everything above ground, would be fried.
Nothing like an ex-Israeli Armed Forces Chief telling the Iranians where the strikes might come.
I am pretty sure the Iranians already know ,but why tip them off. Maybe he is giving out disinformation, who knows?
Wouldnt it be better if retired Military and Presidents just STFU and let the current people in office run the war?
I don't think Israel can afford a half-measure solution.
Well, what are you waiting for, Shlomo?
I don't put a lot of stock into reports from the Times of India... but...
If Israel can take out 2 or 3, then between them and us, we should be able to clean-up pretty well.
Can they really afford to have another "Chernobyl",in the middle east?
true, they shouldn't live in a time that exceeds their socially civilized capacity
Maybe they are setting expectations with an eye to
using some altogether unexpected weapon or method..
I am convinced that the comments are deliberate and
orchestrated.
Any bets that Israel is trying to get Iran to take steps to protect the most critical facilities so they can gather more intelligence on where to strike and get the most BANG! for the buck?
A clever tactic on the part of the mullahs would be to talk about the success they've already had in developing things like, oh, suitcase nukes and compact dirty bombs, and implying that a few of them might already be in Zion just waiting for a martyr to push their buttons. If Israel had to worry about atoms that are already in place going boom should they attack Iran, things get even dicier.
Have you all noticed that the Times of India seems to have very good sources inside the Israeli government and military..wonder what that signifies? Could India possibly serve as a back door staging point for the IAF? Anything that cripples the crazies in Iran also hurts the crazies in Pakistan...
Better it be on Iran's soil than in Alabama....
I think maybe Israel has abdicated this time around. All the discussion in Israel and the threats and implied threats are a strong indication that it won't happen. Israel would not be talking about it if Israel had decided to actually do the thing. The politicians there are trying to get someone else to do it.
I don't know if that still holds today. After all, we did plenty of talking before we went after Hussein. Also, it certainly appears to be the case that the Iranians know something is going to happen.
Seems that DC sniper Mohammed trained at an Alabama terrorist camp.
If there are such suitcase nukes in Israel they will, at some point be used and Israel knows that. Such an anouncement by Iran might well precipitate an Israeli attack that seems unlikely right now given all the talk about it that the Israelis are doing.
