Hmmmm... "spreading among gay and bisexual men" -what pray tell could be causing this among "gay and bisexual" men? One would think someone would analyze the data and issue some specific warnings. I would hope that political correctness does not supercede societal health matters -if it did one might think there was some agenda being promoted or promulated...

No promiscuity - no problem. People aren't beasts of the field, and we each have the ability to control our sexual acts. Each and every one of us. It is an act of will to engage in sex acts, any kind. We can choose to do it or not to do it.
Many people make bad choices. They should be encouraged to remain chaste until marriage, and faithful and loyal within marriage. Problem solved at no cost, and everyone would be happier, especially children. Because far fewer marriages would break up, and no children would be illegitimate.

I was lurking in a homo dg one day, the subject was the 'worrisome spread of HIV". From the tone of their conversation I got the idea that there was a disconnect between the 'acts' and the 'consequences." So I posted a question asking how they happened to 'catch' HIV? The responses were mind-boggling. They essentially boiled down to: "HIV is caught like one catches mumps."
