One thing I wasn't aware of that I think underlines all of this talk of lopsidedness - the stadium concessionaires at Ford Field sold terrible towels, but nothing equivalent for the Hawks.

I don't think this is true. I saw a few green towels. But, being rip offs of terrible towels, it wouldn't surprise me if not too many Seahawk fans would have bought them.

I totally get what you are saying...
I was just pointing out that it is NOT just the Seahawks fans who are saying that the officiating could have been better.
You are completely right about missed calls...and in ANY SPORT!
Truly, it all boils down to the fact that the Hawks did not bring their best game..
Had they done so, I truly believe that they would have won regardless of the calls on the field.

And no, it was NOT the "WHOLE COUNTRY" you are right.

Just the majority of those who voted in 48 out of 50 states.
(probably though, people who voted in this poll were more likely to be predisposed to vote "YES")

The outcome was decided by the incompetence of the Seattle receivers.. pure and simple. Blaming the zebras makes for nice press copy, but at the end of the day, your receivers choked repeatedly....

The loss was likely the result of the bad officiating. You are correct, the Seahawks missed a number of big plays as well. Without the ref screw ups the Seahawks would have probably won the game...if they had not dropped balls and caught them out of bounds they would have blown out the Steelers.

BTW, did you see where Roethlisberger admitted he didn't think he got over the line for that disputed TD and that he told the head coach as he came to the sideline? One does need to respect someone who would admit that...kudos to Roethlisberger for his honesty.

What this has to do with the Boy Scouts or troops in Iraq is beyond me

That's because I didn't copy the entire post to which I was replying. If you go back and read it, it should make sense.
