Kronos,
You really should do some serious research. You have obviously not served in the military? Laser-guided munitions can hit any target that you can put a laser marker on. For example have you seen the footage of LGB's striking helos in Kosovo from up at 10,000 feet? LGBs were used to take out targets as small as APCs and utility trucks. Where do you get the idea that they can't take out anything smaller that a small bridge. How small are your steel bridges? LOL

Reed my posts about that "precission cluster bombing" of Nis Airport when entire street was whippe-out.

Good night.

Theme of this topic was that Osama Ben laden met Bosnian president and that Bill Clinton suported that Bosnian president.

Ni matter how much I hate Islamofascists, Im not arguing anymore with another Christian cause of Muslims.

God bless you.

Depleted uranium I wouldn't worry about. Jumping up an down on one of these that has been recently burning is another matter. That composite stuff will give you cancer.

The target was Nis airport. NATO already apologised for the incident. A munition malfunctioned and ended up in a civilian area. To yourself it was obviously an evil NATO pilot dropping his munition on purpose onto civilian areas. It couldn't possibly have been a malfunctioning weapon or a fault in the release mechanism.

"About two weeks after the bombing Ms. Prentice began to suffer health effects. She lost her voice. Her immune system weakened. She has had cancer twice since then, and the presence of heavy metals in her blood stream causes her to suspect that NATO used depleted uranium weapons during the attack."

She's a loon. Move on.

It is a shame the Bubba was able to use the US Air Force to do the work of the Muslim terrorists for them.

Well, my English is slipping probably due to the fact that I'm Serb. And about the success of the war of 1999, NATO should not brag about it. Also, about the success of the NATO war, you may discuss it with the people from Manhattan. They will tell you that America certainly lost that war, and that the entire world is about to lose the war if people like president Clinton are to come to power.

I agree with you. It was a war against the Serbs by Clinton in support of the Muslims in order to help them advance into that area of their future Caliphate.

While Hillary was kissing Mrs. Arafat, Slick was trying to talk Yassar into a peace agreement with Israel so that Slick could get one of those hand out Nobel Peace Prizes like Jimmy Carter got. He was solidly on the side of the terrorists and thought Arafat would show appreciation. Slick got what he deserved, a double cross.

Slick and Hillary are Communists and the Communists and the Muslims have a common goal, to destroy the USA as it currently exists and to divide the world between the Communists and the Muslims. (Much like Hitler and Tojo planned to divide the world in the 1930s.). They work together in that plan.

Sadly, it is not only those slimeballs working for ex-Nazi Soros. There are others, too. Our Neocon fellow Freepers.

What about PNAC and their support to islamonazis in Bosnia and Kosovo? Do you recall orgasmic exitement of Bill Kristoll when he blurted racist anti-Serb rants ("crush Serb skulls"). He even threatened to walk out of GOP if there is no attack on Serbia.

They chose to be silent. Unfortunatelly for them, Internet has a long memory.

Ranger recalls 'insane,' deadly Somalia mission

October 27, 2001

(CNN) -- Before there was Afghanistan, there was Somalia -- and the U.S. military's first "battle" with forces linked to al Qaeda, the terrorist organization run by Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden.

Surrendering to Terror; Understanding Our Current Situation

snip

For a more recent and telling example of "capitulation to terrorism," and one that has had a profound effect on the mindset of both the jihadists and the current state of terrorism, one must study Task Force Ranger and the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia (now commonly called "Blackhawk Down"). (2)(3) The outcome of that battle, and the subsequent withdrawal of U.S. forces from Somalia, is believed to be among the important roots of our current world situation.

No less a personage that Usama Bin Laden himself has been quoted as saying that the United States' failed 1993 mission in Somalia was an important example of how Al-Qaeda could defeat the United States. In a Oct 21, 2001 statement that was transmitted to the Arabic-language Al-Jazeera network and later shown on the Cable News Network (CNN), Bin Laden said, ""Our brothers with Somali mujahedeen and God's power fought the Americans. God granted them victory. America exited dragging its tails in failure, defeat, and ruin." (4)

Furthermore, Bin Laden's own words from a 1996 fatwa speak very clearly about the impact in his mind about the street-battle and subsequent withdrawal from Somalia: "But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where- after vigorous propaganda about the power of the USA and its post cold war leadership of the new world order- you moved tens of thousands of international force, including twenty eight thousand American solders into Somalia. However, when tens of your solders were killed in minor battles and one American Pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you. Clinton appeared in front of the whole world threatening and promising revenge, but these threats were merely a preparation for withdrawal. You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear. It was a pleasure for the "heart" of every Muslim and a remedy to the "chests" of believing nations to see you defeated in the three Islamic cities of Beirut, Aden and Mogadishu." (5) (6)

In 1993, the forces of Somali warlord Mohamed Farah Aideed — hunted by U.S. forces — brought down two Black Hawk helicopters and precipitated a vicious daylong firefight. In the immediate aftermath of the battle, Clinton managed a burst of bravado, telling an aide: "I believe in killing people who try to hurt you." But soon enough he would be worrying to George Stephanopoulos: "I hope I didn't panic and announce the pullout too soon."

snip

Clinton's retreat broadcast a signal of weakness around the world. As it happens, al Qaeda operatives had provided assistance to warlord Aideed's forces. "It cleared from Muslim minds the myth of superpowers," Osama bin Laden said of Somalia in his interview with ABC News journalist John Miller in May 1998. "The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized more than before that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows ran in defeat."

12/1/92 December 1992 Yazdi, Turabi, and Bashir agree to begin planning and preparing various terrorist attacks to be conducted in close coordination. These attacks included an escalation of attacks against US and UN forces in Somalia and (later) against the World Trade Center in NYC. 'Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America by Yossef Bodansky

circa 1/1/93 Osama bin Laden had dealings with Iraqi Intelligence as early as 1993 in Somalia. During that period, various militant Islamic groups, to include bin Laden and Iraqi intelligence and military operatives, were in Somalia to organize, train and mobilize radical factions within the Somali populace. (NOTE: Bin Laden claimed this, and it wasn't until late in the Clinton Administration that it was proven. Mohammed Atef-then AQ's military commander and #3 man-went to Somalia and trained warlords in the techniques developed in Afghanistan for bringing down helicopters with RPG's. The result was in fact that the now infamous Black Hawk Down battle came from Somalis trained by Al Queda...exactly as Bin Laden claimed.) Thank you, Bill & Hillary Clinton...(May they never get close to the White House EVER AGAIN!)

Bin Laden has been implicated in a string of deadly attacks on the United States and its allies: the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; the 1998 bombings at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed more than 200; and the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen. Bin Laden also claims responsibility for a 1993 gunfight that killed 18 U.S. troops in Somalia and the 1996 bombing of the Khobar military complex in Saudi Arabia that left 19 U.S. soldiers dead.

Anti-U.S. Attacks

In 1992 bin Laden claimed responsibility for attempting to bomb U.S. soldiers in Yemen and for attacking U.S. troops in Somalia the following year. In 1994 pressure from the U.S. and Saudi Arabia prompted Sudan to expel bin Laden, and he returned to Afghanistan.

In 1998 bin Laden called for all Americans and Jews, including children, to be killed. He has since been accused of increasing his terrorist activities, such as the 1998 bombings at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The date, Aug. 7, was the anniversary of the deployment of U.S. troops to Saudi Arabia.

U.S. cruise missile attacks against targets in the Sudan and Afghanistan in Aug. 1998 are not believed to have seriously hampered bin Laden's network. Bin Laden continues to call for the destruction of the U.S., Israel, and the Saudi monarchy, stating that with these obstacles removed, Islam's three holiest sites, Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem, would then be liberated.

It may become clear that in the years ahead, what we in the West will need to do to survive, will make whatever happened in the former Yugoslavia seem tame.

By and large there is nothing to show that the Muslim world cared what happened to Bosnia. The only exception I know of was the Iranian government, which sent arms to the Bosnians. But the Iranians were probably motivated not by ideas of Muslim solidarity, but by the fact that Saddam Hussein, their enemy, was Milosevic's friend and ally.

There seem to be two different and contradictory stories of the Serbian Communists. The first has them hailing the Islamists as heroes and comrades; the second has them claiming, fantastically, to be fighting for Christianity.

You ask what part I don't believe; the answer is, indeed, pretty near all of it. I am suspicious of Ms. Prentice's eagerness to tell exactly the story most favorable to Milosevic. For certain I don't believe the bit about Osama bin Laden - she's a reporter, so why didn't we hear about it then? Some of her points are contradicted by ample testimony, some defy logic. Thus she tells us that the Kosovo Albanians fled because they were afraid of the KLA and the NATO bombing. Why then did the Serbs not flee although they had as least as much reason to be afraid as the Albanians; and why did the Albanians flee to Albania and not away from it?

Osama has been on the bad list since we trained him to fight the Russians in Afghanistan....Then, in the early 90's, Clinton moved Bin Laden and company to fight the Serbs in Bosnia. We support Muslims in FRY, and fight the extremist everywhere else......

OBL also had a Bosnian passport as I also understand from years back.

This report coincides with all other reports that the incursion in the Balkans was ill conceived and basically a hoax in all accounts.
