Norwegian flag burned in Gaza

Muslim activists, upset that a Norwegian magazine reprinted a caricature of the prophet Mohammed, burned a Norwegian flag outside the European Union's office in Gaza on Monday. Activists set the Norwegian flag on fire in Gaza on Monday.

They hailed from the political group al-Yasser, according to the Associated Press on the scene.

The activists also sprayed photos of both the Norwegian and Danish flags with black paint.

Around 15 armed men were behind the demonstration against Norway and Denmark, where the caricature was first printed in the newspaper Jyllands-Posten. Any illustration of the prophet Mohammed is offensive to Muslims, and the activists won't tolerate others' beliefs in freedom of expression.

Gudrun Bertinussen, a Norwegian aid worker for Norwegian People's Aid (Norsk Folkehjelp) in Gaza, said that Norwegians generally have been well-received by the Palestinians. She noted, however, that the publication of the Mohammed caricature in a small Christian magazine has provoked Muslims.

Norway's Foreign Ministry is urging Norwegians in Gaza to heed warnings by angry Muslims to leave the area within the next 48 hours. Muslim activists have also organized a boycott of Danish products, some Muslim countries have recalled their ambassadors from Denmark and Arab groups were seeking support from the UN.

The umbrella group for Islamic groups in Norway, (Islamsk Råd Norge, IRN), is demanding an apology from the Christian publication Magazinet that published the caricature in Norway. A spokesman said the group supports freedom of expression, but not that which injures or offends others.

No appologies until all that have been Bombed, murdered or beheaded in the name of Allah and Muhammed have been avenged!

If you thought Liberalizm was a mental disease, meet it's cousin. Is it any wonder the left supports terrorists?

". . . Muslim activists have also organized a boycott of Danish products. . . "

Ah, the canned pork and windmill sector of the economy is sure to take a severe hit.

So where the hell can you buy a Norwegian flag in Gaza? Do they sell a lot? Was is sort of weird for these guys burning the flag to not be burning an American or Israeli flag? Were they sort of suprised that these other flags were flammable? I'm just puzzled.

My first reaction was: "Hmm! Where'd they get a Norwegian flag from?" Next, it occurred to me there's a business opportunity here; "Flammable Flags On-line!" I mean, suppose you were in Pakistan and you wanted to burn an Andorran flag? As thing are, where could you get one?

This reminds me of the Paleostinian who gave himself 3rd degree burns and died putting gasoline on a nylon U.S. Flag. (It poured off onto him or something.)

Use cotton flags, Mr. Jihadi. Cotton!

Bit of know-how in all things great and small.

Clinton made a statement regarding the drawings and called them disgusting and adds that they makes us believe that all Muslims are militant fanatics

Just withdraw all aid to these nutcases - no money, food or medicine. These Islamic organizations in Europe and the US have too much time on their hands - let them give aid to the loonies and they won't have time to be criticizing everyone else. Ever notice that the Red Crescent is never around to give aid during a disaster but the Red Cross is always there in Islamic countries?

The Norwegians have the right enemies. I guess I like the Norwegians.

So, who would the Norwegians rather have like them. A high-producing, high-consuming citizen of the World's only Superpower, or some dirt-poor, going-nowhere, terrorist sympathizing idiot subject of a country that will only cost them money for the indefinite future?

The Muslim fanatics are the ones that want to behead you. The moderate Muslims just want to kill you.

And therein lies the complete marketing plan.

Market nylon flags to jihadists online

Oh, am I glad they support freedom of speech then. They don't want freedom of speach, because they know that with it they will never win their little Jihad against Europe.

The 1965 movie "What's New, Pussycat" is still banned in Norway for a scene where Peter Sellers, wrapped in a Norwegian flag was going to set fire to himself. I don't even think they even burned the flag in the movie, but to the Norwegians, he might as well have. This Gaza tantrum won't play well in Norway.

Anyone else thing in some places the Muslims are tipping their hand too early, giving away their intent to take over before they're ready?
