US citizens' better show some willingness to choose leaders capable of accepting the realities we face and acting accordingly.
The United States and Israel can end this insanity in one fell swoop, if they have the couage. How?
- Destroy every oil producing and refining capability in Iran immediately
- Destroy every known and suspected nuclear faciltiy in Iran
- Destroy all the ground and air forces of Syria immediatedly
These actions can be taken by combined air power of the United States, Israel and the EU nations. The shortage of oil will present a problem for the world economy, but the belt can be successfully tightened by conservation of oil use and alternate energy sources. If Hugo Chavez pulls any fast ones, he gets taken out immediately and the USA takes over the Venezuela oil fields.
Iran, Syria, Hamas, etc. go bankrupt overnight, their governments collapse and the problem goes away. Dealing with the aftermath of such actions would be difficult, but would be a thousand times better then where the free world is headed right now!!!
I am certain that GW Bush, Israel, Japan, Russia, China, the EU have discussed this, etc. Although Russia and China would not be happy campers, neither is in an economic or military position to get really mean about this, other then "bitching". And...IMHO, I believe the teardown of Iran would be a death knell to Bin Laden and his ilk!!! Food for thought!!!
