Than it should stand to reason that she should be supporting Alito.

Like us wishing for a Dean,Kerry,Gore nomination in '08.

She knows that this is another nail in the coffin of her beloved socialist, humanist dream.

Of course, she has no clue that one judge cannot "turn over" (her words) R v W. And even if it was overturned, it would merely go gack to the states for them to decide.

And what is "**p".

It's sort of funny. In my city, there is a pro life organization that hosts a radio show on a local radio station. The host was talking about children with downs syndrome being aborted and made the comment that in general, a majority of people want abortions to be legal.

He is also talking about a House Bill that is being introduced to outlaw abortion in my state. The theme of the bill is "Let the people decide". Funny, but they don't want to bring it before voters, but push it through the general assembly. Part of the reason is there would be a good possibility it wouldn't pass in a general election and the pro lifers can hang it over the republicans if they don't support it.

Yep, let the people decide unless you might lose.

RATner is oh so wrong. Once abortion is sent back to the states, the natural focus will turn to the size and breadth of government, and the return to a Constitutional Republic. And that argument won't include the Donkey Party.

What the pro-abortion folks hate and fear most is the idea of having to "lobby" legislators in the individual states in the event that Roe is overturned. That will be both a financial and logistical for them, not to mention the fact that they would be unlikely to succeed. As things are today, they only have to focus their money and attention on Washington and, especially, on senate candidates to keep honest men and women off the Supreme Court.

"The strident voice told us that if Roe was overturned, the Republican party was in deep trouble and out of power."

While we Republicans certainly appreciate Mz. Ratner and the MSM attempting to assist our party's success, we've done quite well over the past 13 years without them, thank you.

The REAL reason these talking points exist has nothing to do with abortion. The Dems couldn't care less about that issue, other than using it to scare women into voting for them. No the real fear on the part of the Dems is that if Roe is overturned, two things will happen: (1) The sun will rise in the East tomorrow (i.e., the country will be just fine and the Dems will be fully exposed for their lies that they used for decades to scare this country); and, more importantly (2) the Dems will lose their strongest card in their deck (i.e., being the courts) to turn this country into the pig-sty that Europe has become. Even worse than that for them, a couple of conservative rulings on states rights and we could wind up with a federal government that only does what the Constitution allows (and requires), which is essentially national defense, border control, foreign policy, and federal courts (roughly 30% of today's federal budget).

That is the real Democratic fear - the end of an oppressive federal government. Abortion is just a convenient tool to keep that government in place.

With Alito and Roberts on the Court, we need just ONE more justice, and we very well may see that day - and the Dems FULLY understand that.

The strident voice told us that if Roe was overturned, the Republican party was in deep trouble and out of power.

So, from this we are to assume that in Ratner's view one should compromise on a deep core issue like protecting human life just to hold on to power. It's what seperates most Republicans from Democrats. I am willing to see the Republicans out of power if it means Roe V. Wade is overturned. People like Ratner are such shallow thinkers they can't comprehend the underlying message of their statements. In any case, I think the Republicans would gain from Roe V. Wade being overturned. The country and millions of babies would gain, as well.

Well, there are millions of Americans who will not even consider voting for a Dem because of Roe.
