Hey is there a FReeper here who listens to the show on Sirius. Tell me how the show is going so far. Is it the same better or worse. I must say I miss Stern on my commute.

Ping to WPtG - he's heard some of it. Maybe he can answer your question.

Me too. I may crack in the coming months and sign up. I was going to wait until I purchase a new car in a year or two, but my commute is much less entertaining these days.

I've been listening to Stern for the last couple of weeks. The shows not bad. I realize that many here don't like him and to that I say to each his own. He makes my morning drive go quickly and it is better than what I was listening to before I got Sirius ( Bob and Tom ). A little off topic but I have to say that the one to listen to is Bubba in the afternoon. Man he is coarse but funny.

The show's been significantly better, in my view, if you're a fan of Stern's program, since the move.

Almost no celebrity interviews, strippers, "anal ring toss," or throwing bologna at the backsides of the unbelievably foolish women who participated in such nonsense for a plug, or something. There have been hints of this stuff, but probably less than 5% of the time.

I always preferred the first hour or two of the show, and the last hour, with the news, to the middle couple of hours with all of that nonsense. Celebrity interviews were always hit-and-miss, and the sex stuff was just useless. The vibe of the people on the program just talking about their lives & interests has been the focal point, and just about every day, the show's been about 5 hours long. The guests have been good as well.

As a side note, I love all the snide comments on this board about Stern from people who gleefully gush about getting XM instead, and especially since Fox News is now with them. I guess they missed the heavy rotation XM commercials with Snoop Dogg & Ellen DeGeneres, or the inconvenient presence of Opie & Anthony on XM...yeah, the guys who set up the contest that culminated in a couple of geniuses having sex inside St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Sirius bad (apparently solely because of Stern), XM good (Snoop who?). I have to laugh.

OH HOWARD!

I used to be a stern fanatic...but he is old news...the show lost its gold when billy west took off, and jumped the shark when he lost jackie..

the real suckers are the dolts at RUsirius?
