72.2% Georgians believe that the problem of national minorities in Georgia should be settled like this: “to create the conditions to make them return to their historic territories.” The poll was conducted by BCG among 1,000 respondents.
Other 18.8% think, in this case conditions should be created “to ‘Georgianize’ national minorities and assimilate them with the Georgian populate of the country.” 18.5% respondents see another way of settling the problem: “creation of conditions to make national minorities preserve their cultural and religious originality and simultaneously study Georgian to become participants of the Georgian state establishment enjoying full rights.”
The results of the poll were published in a supplement to Georgia newspaper, reports a REGNUM correspondent.

That poll does have a vaguely Nazi odor to it.
Considering that Georgia is made up of ethnic homelands of not just Georgians but also Abkhazians, Ossessians, Adjarians, Mountain Jews, Armenians and Azerbajanies, this won't go over well.
True liberal think. "I have a dream". Really just another nightmare.

But then again, how would you react if our country was infiltrated by millions of Muslims from North Africa?
Particularly, the uneducated and illiterate masses who essentially reject our way of life, but want all the money and benefits they can get their corrupt hands on?
Muslims are to Europe as locusts are to the farm by the millions.
Just be happy that they are not invading our great nation.
There country hasn't been infiltrated. The Abkaz, Ossessians and Armenians are all Orthodox Christians and all of those minorities have been living on those lands for thousands of years.
Just keep in mind that these minorities have their homelands in Georgia and some, like the Armenians, have been there longer then the Georgians. The Abkhaz, whom the Georgians tried and failed to exterminate in 92, have been there for 1,500+ years.

This is what I mean by liberal think. Nations inside of nations (salad bowl) makes for lots of fights and uprisings. People need to assimilate into the country they are in and not make their own country inside the main country. Never has worked and never will work.
It's easy to say that in the US where the majority of people are immigrants and all the natives have been all but exterminated. In other countries where the local's culture might be older then the present rulers and where the locals themselves might have been rulers, its a much harder concept to push off on people. Patience, stability and capitalism and level headed rulers will cause groups to mix. These are all traits that Georgia has had ZERO of under its three dictators...er presidents.
I'll agree with the rest of your remarks but I take exception to this one. Who is running casinos? Who has control of Pacific Coast salmon and shellfish? If they have all but been exterminated there sure are a lot of laws who protect them and give them special rights not delegated to us immigrants.
American Indians make up less then 5 million people in a nation of 300 million, 6 million if you include Hawaiins (who had their own kingdom). As such, some tribes boost their numbers by including people with as little as 1/16 Indian blood. Over all, they are not important economically or politically. Furthermore, they are broken into dozens of tribes and spread across the US.
