I was thinking the same thing. I kept looking, in vain, for a reference to the COUNTRY where Jiroft might be located.
I gather that, because it's in the "Persian Times", that Jiroft is in Iran, but that's just a guess. Persians can write about ruins in Africa just as well as Anglo-Saxons can, apres-tout, and are probably just as interested in this sort of thing too.
So, can someone tell us definitively that Jiroft is in Iran?
Can't be the Americas. No goats in the Americas before European colonization. Could be Africa or Asia. Doubt it's Europe. Probably Iran.
