What started out as a frontpage supermarket tabloid story in the National Enquirer regarding Senator Ted Kennedy's "love child," is slowly but surely gaining some traction in the mainstream news media. After the story of appeared in the Enquirer, the Boston Herald in Kennedy's own backyard ran a similar story. Now the largest circulation newspaper in the Big Apple, the New York Daily News -- a decidedly liberal news organization -- is running a follow-up story.
According to a column in the NY Daily News, Ted Kennedy's alleged love child, Christopher Allen, appears to have corroborated The National Enquirer's claim that he's the son of the senator.
The newspaper was unable to get the 21-year-old to talk last week, but he told reporters in an E-mail: "It is kinda shocking to finally find out who my real father is." Asked about the photo the bloggers at Wonkette.com posted of him, he said, "I don't remember taking a picture but then again, I have the classic Kennedy drinking problem."
Senator Kennedy's office continues to deny the story saying it's "irresponsible fiction."
Back in 1983, Kennedy, then 51, allegedly took up with Caroline Bilodeau, an attractive brunette, several months before divorcing Joan, the mother of his three kids -- Kara, Ted Jr. and Patrick.
Bilodeaus friends told the Enquirer the local lass became so smitten with the senator, she had dreams about being the next Mrs. Ted Kennedy. But the love affair came crashing down when Bilodeau told Ted a baby was on the way, the magazine reports.
Caroline announced to the family that she was two months pregnant around May 1984, blabbed a Bilodeau confidante. Ted was not happy about the news. He already had three kids with Joan and knew a baby out of wedlock could hurt him politically.
When Christopher was born in a Cape Cod hospital in December 1984, Kennedy was nowhere near the delivery room. But he did, according to the Enquirer, take a paternity test shortly thereafter to determine if the child was his.
After Bilodeau got the results, she moved back in with her parents but always seemed to have money, said the source.
So he's giving advance warning not to get in a car with him driving.
I'd like to see this kid on 60 Minutes and David Letterman.
She's lucky that she didn't become the next Mary Jo Kopechne.
I guess she refused to 'get in the car,' lucky for her.
LOL. I really hope this is true. I'd love to see Teddy covered in more mud.
He's not sure if he has otehr Kennedy problems -- I'll guess he'll have to drive off that bridge when he comes to it.
It IS true.
It's just that, as usual, the MSM needs to be dragged -kicking and screaming - to report on the misdeeds of the KingRat.
ugh!
The generosity of some women never ceases to amaze me......
From a Tuesday Boston Herald article
Friends of Bilodeau say that even in high school she bragged about hanging out at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport and dating members of the family.Statutory Rape, anyone?Bilodeaus 1980 Sandwich High School yearbook photo lists a series of likes including Jethro Tull, Bob Seger and the initials T.K.
When he kills and/or rapes a woman, then he can truly be called a Kennedy.
Ted isliving in the 'old world' and does not seem to 'get' that the 'fiction' claim, no longer works.
Nonetheless, it is amazing how Libs depend on 'fiction' to define who they are. Cannot think of any prominent Libs who do not fit the 'fiction' category. . .
Which calls to mind the law suit against the author James Frey/ - A Milion Little Pieces, who is being sued - by a Lib no doubt; because book purchased and read, under the assumption that is was 'non-fiction' .
(Do not think this will fly; because if it did. . .Bill and Hillary would be in financial jeopardy for their 'memoirs'. . .as would Ted. . .Algore, John Kerry, Jimmy Carter. . .Al Franken and Libs ad nauseum - including those pulizter-prize winning Lefties as well. . . )
Well, he won't be on 'Larry King' and doubt O'Reilly will get within breathing distance. . .
O'Reilly is outraged about the 'smear merchants' who he says 'lie' about him.
Interesting, may be more to Ted's fiction than first meets the eye. . .
Sure there were lies. . .there was also plenty of truth; but O'Reilly better served by not going there. Too bad, he so determined that he will not take anyone. . .no matter how deserving; 'there' as well.
He has defensively jammed his own eye with a log which is probably close to his shoe size.
So, I sit here and wonder why a blood test or DNA comparison has not been offered up as proof. Seems simple enough.
There was plenty of truth in the O'Reilly scandal. The result now is that O'Reilly is obsessed with not talking about 'personal attacks' on anyone, true or not.
Ah, it isn't a drinking problem, it is a STOPPING problem. It applies to drinking, cars, airplanes, skiing, drug use, the list goes on...
