Man, talk about beating a dead horse!

In matters involving national security, there can not be "whistleblowers". Ever.

Internal rules are in place to prevent abuses and to provide oversight by leakproof members of government other than the executive.

The flip side of these safeguards and oversight is the swift and certain serious punishment for treason for any "whistleblowers", who happen not to be personally happy with the safeguards and oversights already in place.

Thank God we have a judge on the bench who agrees with you.

So just make everything "involve" national security.

Where is our foreign aid money going? Can't tell you. National security and all!
Why is that company being targeted for antitrust? National security!
How much toxic waste is being poured into our rivers? National security!
Can we watch deliberations on the senate floor? National security!
Public trial for criminals? National security!
What's next year's budget? National security!

Government needs to be transparent and accountable. Sure, there are a very few military-related things that should probably be kept secret until the mission is over, but they should be the exception and not the rule.
