It would seem to me that there are two ways to discover where the bodies are hidden. First is obvious, through the interrogation of local suspects. But the second would be through technical means, the use of both thermal imaging scans and SAR scans of the local area which could locate the bodies. If I recall correctly, various models of our UAVs (not just the Predator) have those capabilities.

I haven't seen any weather reports for the Damadola area. SAR results wouldn't be affected by cloud cover, but the thermal imaging results would be.
