Right Wing News emailed more than 230 right-of-center bloggers and asked them to send us a ranked list 1-5 of the candidates that they would most like to take the Republican nomination for President in 2008 and the 1-5 candidates they'd least like to see as the Republican nominee in 2008. As I mentioned earlier, the bloggers were allowed to make 1-5 ranked selections. Those selections were weighted as follows...
1) Worth 2 points 2 or 3) Worth 1.5 points 4 or 5) Worth 1 point
So, for example, a candidate who received two first place votes (4 points), a third place vote (1.5 points), & and three fifth place votes (3 points), would receive a grand total of 8.5 points.
Also, keep in mind that the scoring cut-off to be included in the lists below was 5 points. If a candidate received less than that, his/her score was not listed.

I predict Mike Pence WILL be the next President of the United States
He's my pick. I see Pence in a similar position as Howard Dean was for the Dems in '04: not in the list of names two years beforehand, but encouraged and supported by a base frustrated with the direction of their party.

Mike Pence has the one irreplaceable attribute he needs as a presidential candidate----impeccable pro-life credentials----not to mention conservative pro-lifers backing him on the internet (blush).
As FReeper THEWORKERSAREFEW asserted: "I predict Mike Pence WILL be the next President of the United States."
With support like that, Pence is going places.
I was just trying to give you an out, in a friendly way, for not maintaining what I think anyone would agree was a superior format in the article. I never dreamed you would instead try to defend YOUR lack of formatting. I didn't bring it up, another poster did and even corrected it. I was going to do the same myself until I saw he had. I was just kidding you, not questioning your ability, and I didn't even blame you for it.

Lincoln came in during extraordinary circumstances. Don't know anything about Garfield. Not gonna happen with Pence. Just won't.
Pence is one of the few candidates that can satisfy ALL factions of the conservative movement:
-social conservatives
-club for growth types (libertarians)
-anti-illegals
Name the last SENATOR to win! Not a much better track record than Congressmen, really.
No name recognition, no money.
