Whew.......having a guided missile destroyer from the US Navy chasing you down. Man..........can you say "pucker factor"???

This was posted last night, but it's worth reading the BBC version.
This was a game of cat and mouse -- more like tiger and mouse.
IF nothing else, it was a great surface interdiction drill for the crew. (was never a fair fight ;-)
Go Navy!

law of the sea is to just blow them out of the water - equal to "shoot, shovel, shutup" on land.

Bad day to be a pirate. Great day to be a US Crewman who can tell his grandchildren that he helped catch pirates.

BTW, if you look closely at the pic, u can c that the foreward deck gun is trained on the smaller vessel.
THAT's pucker factor.

Would have loved to seen the faces of those pirates, as the U.S. Navy hunted them down.

Bummer.
Why capture and not kill?
Now they'll get JAG protection and end up spending 60 days in jail in Vermont.
And Pelosi and Kerry will scream that their human rights have been violated.
To: sam_paine
What's that small boat behind the pirate's vessel?

An attack late last year against a luxury cruise liner was repelled by an ear-splitting acoustic device. Recordings of Hillary speeches, I suspect. Makes ya wanna shoot yourself in the head.

US navy captures Somali pirates. Grateful world pauses to consider what a dangerous mess shipping would be if the US Navy didn't patrol the oceans like a bunch of big, friendly neighborhood cops.
