Maybe that is part of the problem. FR has never promoted a particular political party. FR exists to advance the conservative agenda. That's why I come here. Not all Republicans are conservative. JR has made support for PresBush a priority because of the WOT. Nothing wrong with an America first attitude.

Are you saying that FReepers have short attention spans? Most conservatives I know are voracious readers. If you read the Reagan essay on abortion before, no reason to read it again, but a comment is in order. After all, tomorrow is the 33rd anniversary of Roe v Wade.

Frankly, there has been a growing amount of crapola being posted on FR over the last couple years. Half of what is posted on FR has nothing to do with conservatism and a significant amount of the posts are tied to liberal writings, from liberal websites. Exactly what conservatives are strongly opposed to. Makes no sense to me.

Sometimes I think FR has turned into a daily soap opera and not the public square for conservative issues, it was designed to be.

Well Reagan Man, I have been perusing the site for quite some time now before registering, and I can attest to the high level of conservatism here. Yes, there are those with liberal leanings on certain issues, but I think that comes with the apparent popularity of the site. Plus I'm sure there are a good number of Democratic Underground lurkers here and there just waiting to goad someone into their convoluted arguments. But overall, this is one of the more conservative sites I have come across. A good thing of course. :)
