Sometimes I wonder just how conservative FR really is. >>
me too, and how pro life it really is.
What am I driving at. Back to my original comment. Just how conservative is FR?
me too, and how pro life it really is.
Which truck do YOU find more offensive? The truck in the story headed to the Super Bowl? Or the truck in the cartoon below?
That thread was not only pinged to the Pro-Life list, it was pinged to the NFL ping list... no pictures of the Truth Truck were posted, but noone answered the question either.
Here is the Statement by the founder of Free Republic:
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.
Note that "Pro-God" and "Pro-Life" come first in the statement.
It is becoming quite common to surf around FR and see pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-death posters arguing with other FReepers and not only on the pro-life or abortion threads. Not all of them are trolls - a good chunk of them are of the category "Well I'D never have an abortion but it's none of my business if anyone else wants one, not even a teen girl! "
However, for the first time in a long time, I had 2 recent requests to be added to the Pro-Life/Pro-Baby ping list. So perhaps it's not as bleak as I think.
