just spent a few minutes on the DU boards... until I couldn't see any longer due to the tears of laughter filling my eyes!
My God... LOL What a bunch of tinfoil hat-wearing, uneducated, illogical, incoherent, unsophisticated, irrational, whining, over/undermedicated mouth-breathing idiots!

This tape, if it is real, is proof that al Qaeda sees the battle as lost. And his followers see it the same way. Probably. But I suppose it's also possible that he's covering all the pr bases before hitting us with something unconventional. As in, "I didn't want to release that chemical in that shopping mall. I even offered them a truce. But they refused."

oh man.. is that why nothing gets done?

Bin Laden gets enormous help from his allies-of-convenience, the traitorous democrat party and their media agents, especially the NY Times.
When the next attack comes, the blood of innocent Americans will once again be on the democrat party's evil hands.

The American public deserves to hear/read a complete transcript of Mr. Bin Laden's statement. The fact that the media has access to full transcripts and does not release them for public purview speaks volumes about the sad state of the MSM.
The American public will hear the the complete transcript - it will be the Democratic response to the State of the Union!

Wonder what those 'conditions' are?I am pretty sure they involve saying "There is no God but Allah", three times in public.

For every American killed we will take an Arab leader...
Besides being COMPLETELY unrealistic, that would be very counter-productive too.....probably not the smartest threat or course of action.

"...Do you honestly think that would work? Osama and his ilk are OPPOSED to most of the leaders of the Arab world, calling them apostate and kaffirs." I agree with your point, but the word is 'kuffar'. 'Kaffir' is an Afrikaans racial epithet. :)

Let me tell you where you can shove that truce, Binny-boy....

I think Osama lurks on DU.
Aha! That's where he's been hiding all of this time!

Hmmm.. maybe we did get al Zawahri in Pak, or at least some heavyweights.. the overall damage between what we have done in Pak, Iraq and elsewhere really must be taking a toll.. thats how I see this tape if in fact it's really from the Devil himself. Bin laden can go back to hell and we will send him there, that's the truth and the truce.

"Reality shows that the war against the U.S. and its allies is not just restricted to Iraq...." One big difference between Bin Laden and the libs is that Bin Laden acknowledges that we are, indeed, at war. Any guesses on how many in MSM comment on this acknowledgement and the fact that there can be no "truce" if there is no war?

Is there a sense that the missile strike might have struck a nerve or is it just the long term toll on OBL that is why they are weakening to the point of offering surrender? Probably the latter, since it sounds like the recording was made in December. The missile strike's an added bonus.
By the way, will you be in DC for the March for Life (Jan 22-23)?
Unfortunately, no. I haven't been in a few years since my wife works at night and my kids are young. Hopefully we'll be bringing the kids down in a few years.
