Typical of so many Leftwingers these days, the professors and their running dog lackey supporters simply want a cut of the action ~ a payoff so to speak.

I could have used this in my Archeology course in South Dakota. We had to endure the bemoaning of an ex-hippie who blamed the US for everything bad that has ever happened in Cuba.</p>

It is the sort of invitation any poverty-stricken student would find hard to resist.

This is unintentionally hilarious. The author has been reading too much Dickens.

Sounds like an enterprise worthy of contribution.

What about liberal bosses in the workplace, who view their offices as an opportunity to rant about their opinions on Iraq, and lower productivity by the stress of not being able to say, "you jerk" for fear of losing a paycheck?

Love the tactic. The left has been doing things like this for years. Now it is our turn.

The underlying problem is tenure.

Several targeted professors have complained, figures associated with the group have distanced themselves from the project and the college is studying whether the sale of notes infringes copyright and contravenes regulations.

Are they this concerned when a leftist professor inspires his students to attack the Bush administration in college papers or encourages them to work on his opponent's campaigns?

Some start-up tried making a business out of selling lecture notes at UMass once, taken from the previous year's class. It wasn't political though, just a lame effort to make money.

Professors were annoyed, and the few suckers who tried it did horribly from thinking they could buy education instead of studying.

Going to class, recording the lecture & taking notes is 'spying'?

Ping. lol.

The spin in this article is a classic "Dem" "wiretap" best-we-can-do-for-the-liberals kinda spin. It alleges to be taking place in Los Angeles. Thought you'd find it interesting.

Some spin. I'm getting whiplash. Students are allowed to tape lectures, but not if it is to provide evidence of inappropriate classroom activities?

How can reporting on a paid employees actions in a public educational venue be equated with spying?

I quess if my child tells me what her elementary school teacher is saying and doing in class, she is also "spying" on her teacher, and must be forbidden from sharing that "privileged" information with me.
LOL!
The only way liberalism survives is through enforced PC silence.

The kids can inform, but there is an issue regarding what is done with class materials.
They can report the bad things said and perhaps even a recording if they are allowed in class.
You can not (I don't think) allow class outlines, materials or tests to be given out for money.

I don't know how these folks are going to handle this, but it is interesting to read.
